When this blog first started, I was in the 7 year itch of my marriage, and had two small children. My marriage has now reached the age of majority, and I have three kids, who are now the owners of double digits. Bonus: one of them is now technically an adult. I've written about a lot of family adventures, trials, and more over the years. Meet the cast and crew.
I'm a recovering bulimic with chronic depression. I take meds and go to therapy. And I also try to be active and healthy through exercise and nutrition. Sometimes I do well. Sometimes I don't.
So...my faith journey has been an evolution. I love Jesus and His teachings. The flaws in organized religion? Not so much. Also, I swear a lot, and the juxtaposition surprises people sometimes. My family has branded me Sweary MagdaleneTM as I once joked that I was like Mary Magdalene but instead of whoring, I swear.
This is the catch-all category; creative, academic, silly musings. Things that don't fit anywhere else.
I'm an advocate by nature, passionate about rectifying the gaps between the haves and the have nots in the world, disrupting inequitable systems in pursuit of social justice, and really love people and the power we can make when we live connected and unified.
