Back to You

Song I wrote one night at 1 am after fighting with Charlie Brown.

"Back to You"
A girls gone wild deal on the tv
shows me the "other woman",
and she sees me,
sees right thru me,
she haunts me, teases me tonight
says she can give you the time of your life
Her name's not Victoria,
and her stuff's sure no secret
She's mocking me, it's you she wants to get

And then it comes, overwhelming...
I'm helpless against this feeling
I can't find the air to breathe
I can't find my voice to speak
I'm fallin'
Fallin' down to the depths
And she's blockin'
Blockin' my steps
Back to you

You didn't do a thing
No good deed, no bad deed, just nothing
It pains me to know that this kind
Is one of the many you played dirty with
In your mind
So long ago, you’ve come a long way
So how come these feelings seem like they’ll always stay?

And then it comes, overwhelming...
I'm helpless against this feeling
I can't find the air to breathe
I can't find my voice to speak
I'm fallin'
Fallin' down to the depths
And she's blockin'
Blockin' my steps
Back to you

And I, I know that she's hurting too,
but she's blockin'
Blockin' my steps back to you
She's more in my head and not really there,
But push her out of the way, love, show me how much you care
Help me find my way back
Back to you
